We wanted to pass on the following information prior to your collection to make your experience as simple as possible.
Collection Collection
Monday - Friday // From 9am until 4.45pm
Saturday // From 9am until 11.30am
Return Times
Monday - Saturday // At 8.30am
Please ensure you return the vehicle on time so that we can make sure the next customer is not delayed.
Vehicles can't be returned out of office hours as the site is locked and secure.
Upon Collection
You will need to leave a deposit which varies depending on what type of vehicle your hiring.
This will be refunded at the end of the hire once the vehicle has been thoroughly checked.
Drivers Information
Please ensure the driver is aged between 25-75 years and held a full UK licence for longer than 2 full years.
For minibus hire the driver must be aged between 30 and 70 years and have held licence for more than 10 years.
You must advise the office if:
- You have any points on your licence in the last 5 years
- You have had any disqualifications in the last 10 years
- You've had any accidents or insurance claims in the last 3 years
- Had an insurance policy stopped or declined
- You have had to inform DVLA of any health issues
Additional drivers are allowed at a cost of £10 per day
All above terms apply for all drivers
All drivers must attend the office to have photos taken and sign the relevant insurance proposal documents.
Essential information
In order to hire with us you must provide us with:
- Your driver's licence
- One official form of address identification dated in the last 3 months. This can be a bank statement, credit card statement, council tax bill, mortgage statement or a utility bill
- If you are moving house we will also require proof of the address you are moving to. This could be a solicitors letter, mortgage offer or Tenancy agreement etc
- The hire must be paid using a credit or debit card in the primary driver's name
- We also need to check your licence with DVLA so we will require your national insurance number; alternatively you can obtain a code from DVLA and provide us with the code
Pets are not allowed in our hire vehicles.
Parking is limited on site, please speak to staff if you wish to leave your vehicle here and they will find a space for you.
Mileage Allowance
The mileage allowance is 200 miles per paid day or 1000 per week. Rentals exceeding 27 days are subject to a mileage cap of 2000 miles per 28 days.
Any excess miles are charged at 25p per mile for the first 200 excess miles and then 40p thereafter.
Fuel
The fuel needs to be returned with the same amount it went out with.
Cancellation
Cancellation fees of 50% apply if cancelled more than 6 weeks before collection date
Cancellation fees of 100% apply if cancelled less than 6 weeks before collection date
Bookings are non-transferable
Insurance
Insurance provided is for the mainland UK only
If you do intend on taking the vehicle off the mainland UK then please let us know so we can quote for continental insurance etc. We do need at least 7 days' notice so that we can obtain the necessary documentation.
